Modtool skin generation
« on: June 01, 2014, 04:49:18 AM »

My tool now has a command to generate a template from a mesh.

You load the HIM and click on Render -  Generate skin.

In the dialogue that pops up you select one of the current textures as a base, select the size you want the template to be, and run it.

You end up with an image like this ...

I hope this is useful for you.

The tool is available for download, some people have had problems running it because of .Net issues.

I want as many people as possible to try it so I can sort out this problem out.

If it runs for you, you can generate a template for any HIM , or more accurately any texture in a him.

This is HUGE!!!!!! I could not use this mod till now as my PC is still with XP Sp2 and NET4.o needs SP3, but this new mod justifies taking the risk of upgrading to SP3 (no, no mad enogh to pass to win 7, 8 or whatever - at least with XP I can repair windows crashes by myself!)

I have written the mod on xp so that I was sure it would work for you guys.... well at least that was the plan.

Didn't work out that way for some of you, language issues (which should be fixed now) and Net issues.

I am just working on an editor for the skins. While in my mod tool you can drag bits of the mesh about and scale them, then save the template bitmap and the modified mesh.

I would recommend you don't save over the top of your mod until my modtool has been tested fully.

Though I haven't had any problems for a while.

This little program has been helping me alot in the past couple of days and everything seems to
be working just fine. I have not tested it all, but it looks and is working OK!
