Hello!

Unfortunately, 101tfs released my fix as new stand-alone version although it only includes files modified by me. Thus, my fix doesn't work without hier.him, textures and some other files from original release that's no longer available. Anyway, I'll try to release it properly in this post.

Here's a stand-alone 3D fix for B-29 that should work: http://koti.mbnet.fi/raukorpi/3D_B29%20v2.7z
This one is really second version of B-29 3D update by 101tfs with PA_Jeronimo's wheels and all my fixes included in one package. You can install this one as a new mod and disable/remove old version to easily get all these external 3D updates.

Then the other download http://koti.mbnet.fi/raukorpi/3D_B29_fix.7z is my fix patch that can be installed on previous version of B-29 3D update by 101tfs. This should update v1 to v2 if you have previous v1 with PA_Jeronimo's wheel update already. You can enable Gear1 meshes in this patch if you want wheels of 101tfs' version instead of latest PA_Jeronimo's wheels. This patch is very useful if you have modified your hier.him for some other reason than adding PA_Jeronimo's wheels.

Credits:
- 101tfs: 3D model rework
- PA_Jeronimo: landing gear 3D update
- Birdman: fixing LOD values back to original ones, adding modified original LODs back to some small parts, adding back non-USA markings overlays, old LOD1 CF shadow fix and small smoothing fix under nose

I hope you enjoy this 3D update more now with less bugs.

Hi 101tfs and Jero, thanks for this great update, beautiful! I have 1 little request: is it possible to change the engine start order from 1 2 3 4 to 1 4 2 3? Looks more realistic IMHO

realisticly would have been 3421... you allways start inboard engines first for safety of ground crew... anyways why not just hit your engine selection switches in that order?

I put this folder in my SAS Modact 5  3.0 folder and it does not show in game or in QMB?

Could someone please post a mediafire link for Birdman's links above? I have to use the public library and they block a lot of download sites.  Thank you.

After installing this mod, into my HSFX 7 */Files/3do/planes folder via the JSGME I had two anomalies.
1. The right nose gear door was now place aft of the nose wheel well, which I was able to correct with PA_Jeronimo B-29 Fix wheels for 101tfs Mod here.

2. And this I don't understand, the "B-29 Silver Plates" (but, not the B-29) had the Nose Art Bug" again (note; this is a fault with the HFSX B-29SP).
Was able to correct this by taking the "Cockpit_D0.msh" file (one file only) from the "Boeing B-29 Silverplate Atomic Bomber (v1.2) Mod" by SAS~Magpie, located here and installing it into the *\IL-2 Sturmovil 1946 HSFX7\Files\3do\Plane\B-29-SP(Multi1) folder, and then copying the "Overlay9.mat" file from the new *\IL-2 Sturmovil 1946 HSFX7\Files\3do\Plane\B-29(Multi1) into the *\B-29-SP(Multi1) folder. Don't know if the last step ("Overlay9.mat" file) was necessary, but did this at the same time as installing the "Cockpit_D0.msh" file, and it works.
A word of caution, the "Cockpit_D0.msh" file from the new *\B-29(Multi1) folder will not look correct as the cockpit window are different from the B-29 to the B-29SP. Have to use the the one from Silverplate Atomic Bomber (v1.2) Mod.

3. Then to upgrade the blockie engines of the B-29SP, took the engine and prop files from the new *\B-29(Multi1) folder and copied them into the *\B-29-SP(Multi1) folder.

Now all the B-29's look much better!!
