Sea-Avenger (Revised)
« on: July 16, 2014, 08:30:55 PM »

A couple years ago SAS-Riken did a Sea Avenger Beta at the request of Bombsaway. Original mod seen here:
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,27975.0.html
I only participated in the flightmodel area of that version.

Lately I have been reviewing older projects and how I could improve areas I did not understand at the time. This being one of the first was also one of the first on the list.

This is my attempt at refining that project with the knowledge of both Riken and Bombsaway.
Though it is based on the same idea, I started from square one.

I believe I have correct most of the issues the original suffered from. Plane should spawn and scramble without wrecking like earlier mod. Cure for this was floats Barnesy12 did for the SeaDiver seen here:
http://freeil2modding.free-forum.net/sb2c-2-helldiver-float-plane-vt3140.html
I also moved the clips in slightly from the prop tips.

I am starting a independent thread because the plane may not be compatible with old version and uses new ini air lines.

Screen shots by Gumpy:

What was done and those who contributed:

Based on original idea and mod from SAS-Riken and SAS Bombsaway.

Floats by Barnesy12 and borrowed from his SeaDiver.

Wheelwell covers by GIO.

Float skins by Texx.

Testing by Bombsaway, Gumpy and Malone.

SAS Avenger cockpits.

Correct rotating prop and flightmodel by CWatson.

If I missed anyone in error, please let me know and I will add you and your contribution.

In the future, if anyone would like to improve it please feel free to do so.

could i be a pest, and ask for a rockets only loadout option?
of course, only if you feel like it, and no rush - pretty soon i hope to be able to do it myself, anyway, lol :D

Were you able to fix the MK13's position?
