moving search light
« on: August 12, 2014, 10:14:51 PM »

~S~ and g'day, I was wandering, as there are crafty folk here who can add belly turrets to bombers etc, CAN we make a turret that has a search light in it instead of mg's ? as search lights move about when it is dark, I thought that they might be able to be used in a turret like set up in/on a bomber.. so you aim like a gun turret but you get a light shining instead of bullets & on -off with mouse clicks-, would be good for evening , night s.a.r. as well as other target spotting ie: subs n ships for coastal patrols etc .you can move to it like a gunners position, then if you have some real human crews in your plane they could operate it (or yourself as we do) it would be fun and add a touch of realism.
hope this can be done
regards

PS. I used to have an mod - mirrors for f6f's- has anyone got a spare they can throw my way ? thanks

hi mate - have a look at the latest Cobra helicopter, it has a useable searchlight function with the front turret gun. maybe this can be modified further if someone wants to take up the challenge..
@ F6F mirrors attached... ;)

~S~ HEya Malone m8, sorry took so long to get back here, BIG BIG thanks again as usual for the mirror link, money for the beer is on the fridge bro. also had to laugh at your comment about trying to kill those 20mm german flak, and yes, right bastards they are ? I too was wandering why I couldn't kill em, I kept thinking I wasn't going in long and low enough, ate a lot of dirt that way too . It's what I like about SAS, there are always folks figuring stuff out and always folks ready to help when needed. thanks again and hope you and yours are well and all. l8r m8 thanks ~S~
