Hi mates!

I wrote this post because I notice that in the cockpit of the A-4 Skyhawk the point of the refueling probe isn't visible....

IRL the early straight version is hard seeing in the lower right windshield:



while the new angled version should be seen in the same windscreen section but a little more on the right....



I hope that some skilled modder can fix this to allow better refueling....

Well....

The first image is from internet and I post it to show how the probe should appear from inside cockpit view;

The second image is of the A-4 available from the Free Modding site and was posted here in our 'share a screen' topic....I bet that this 'll be an upcoming 3d upgrade....and a really nice one!

                I thought they have developed such a nice cockpit. So no general rework of it, no? I see that some of the outer lines have been softened and improved, but the landing gear it still is too rough.

Maybe in the final release the landing gear 'll got a reshape...

This is very easy to do, and I can do it for you if I have access to the 3d files and java code, which shouldn't be much of a problem either. On the other hand, I don't think that the Free Modding team will have problems with this in their new A4 project currently on going. However, in an event that they do, just drop me a pm and I'll fix it.

Plane without dedicated cockpit=50% useless IMHO.
That counts for all mods, no matter which site...SAS, AAS, FM, wherever.
I don't say I could built one, at all, only I chose personally to never fly planes without dedicated pits other than for testing.
Thanks for making me think we had such a great pit in IL-2.  :P

Anyway, great looking 3D model. Congrats to Fm for this. ;)

sorry Pablo is not the franken what lines are softend exactly  I have done my best with the gear  and bays hinges etc  where do you like to see improvements
 walter again with the fuel probe I can stick one in the cockpit view  but has no relation to where the outside probe is if you have track ir just look out the window and you can see it  the way the camera angles are set in the cockpit limits the angle on what you can see  so if you don't mind the probe being visible but having no relation to the out side position  fine

sorry no dedicated pit so you wont be flying this one tom just a rework by me is a fun plane to fly   most of our test guys love it

 a few pics  to so you can see the softend lines and crap landing gear sorry guys I am trying my best here  :(  point out where you think the improvements should be  I am open to suggestions

Well mates!

I specify that this tread was born for the old A4 model not for the actually in development at FM...

Anyway about the latter cockpit , I fly every planes with great pleasure and in the new FreeModding project I think that they have done a great work around!

Returning to the probe I was asking for the old model and IIUC what S3 mean is to make it visible for that one , not for the new , anyway I think that if involved S3 could do the same for the new A4 too....maybe this option can be see in depth by PM between them....

About new model landing gear , actually it's really good....really good indeed!

Well at least you seem to have a nice stand in cockpit. Looks good, not the usual unmodded F-80/Panther pit.
I'm a cockpit fetishist, that was what I tested for another sim (free sim) back then..jet pits and campaigns.
