I will go with "a. full compatibility to all the versions , but always lighted on".


But in my personal interest, I want to develop option B (even though not publish).
I'm searching default Runway lights behavier and thier Java code in 4.12.2m.
They seem to turn-on with requests without deciding aircrafts and lights / airbases Army color -- Blue or Red === Friendly or Enemy in codes.
Is it true in game?

About PAPI, VASI, Mirror landing aid and IFLOLS , skinning remain.

compatible versions may be 4.10.1m / 4.11.1m / 4.12.2m.
(I've tested on only 4.12.2m , but I might not use 4.12.2m limited new functions.)

Carrier landings can be hard, if somehow we could implant this mod into some carriers, I think it would drasticaly improve carrier landings. We'd have a "meatball"

Yes!
My final goal is add "meatball" on carriers.
Carriers needs another Java coding from field version.
I have some plans wondering about coding, it will be try-and-errors.
