UPDATE!BR20 rework
« on: December 13, 2014, 09:10:21 AM »

This is just a 3D rework to improve the 3d original mod "FiatBr20 Early / BR20 Series production / Br20M? Br20MLate" of dreamk, not tested with the "field to the mod FiatBr20Early." of Zip_Comic1, replaces only the MHS, unfortunately I had to split the mappings this necessitates two different default skin and "summer"

Thanks ! I suppose this means that the custom skins will no longer work with these planes, right ?

Thank You a lot! These planes look nice but why not split 3D in early and late folders and edit classfiles to load models from those two folders? That would give us two different default skins simultaneously and allow use of all variants in the same mission.

Birdman's fix patch
« Reply #5 on: February 09, 2015, 04:22:47 PM »

I wanted to improve this nice 3D model version and fixed these bugs:
- Ground collision fixed (_Clip hooks)
- Center position adjusted for more realistic movement in air and on ground
- Cockpit positions are now better
- Prop rotation direction fixed
- Hier.him files cleaned and many damage bugs there fixed like better selection of parts flying off in explosion
- Fuel leak and fire hooks fixed for wing tanks
- Better positions for nav lights and contrails
- Gear position in FM adjusted to avoid nosing over on ground with optimal 3D center position
- Engine rotation directions in FM fixed

You can download my fixes at http://koti.mbnet.fi/raukorpi/FiatBr20_fix.7z. Just unpack to the mod folder of this plane so that my files replace old ones. I recommend backing up the whole mod folder especially if you want to keep Dreamk's version as usable option because I've edited cockpit position.

I hope you like these fixes!

BTW, are there any skins yet for this 3D version or have all skin artists preferred Dreamk's 3D model because of some of those bugs I've now fixed?

I still hope that early and late 3D could be separated in different folders so that both can have good default skin simultaneously. Or other option is to load different default skins in classfile based on plane version and country. Then for some reason shooting at inner wings detaches midwings and shooting at right wing tank causes fire in CF tank. Inner wings also can't detach in ground collision.

I just updated my fix with better contrail and nav light positions, but let me know if nav lights had different positions in real plane.

Hi Gio
Thank you very much for the new update 8).

I tested it in several missions QMB and so far everything is working perfectly.
