Since there appears to be some interest here are the download links with a short description.  Below are my two adders to WAW using the JSGME setups that are activated the same way the original TFM was done, i.e., just load them in the jsgmemods folder and activate them using the jsgme.  I just picked the adders that I wanted to see included in #WAW.  Both folders are about 1.5GB uncompressed or about 150 MB compressed using 7zip.

On my computer (loading on a SSD) the first one took about 10 seconds to activate and the second one took about 6 minutes to activate.  A detailed listing of the additions are in my previous message on yesterdays reply #1081.

#WAW_1st adder contains over 20 additional planes, new FMs for the MustangMkI's and Hellcats, CWatson's F4U's with modified FMs, benitomuso's PAL-HUDConfig mod, and some additional skins.

Download:   #WAW_1st adder.7z
https://www.mediafire.com/download/1ry6amw694lq9jp/#WAW_1st_adder.7z

#WAW_2nd adder contains over 20 additional planes and some additional skins.

Download:    #WAW_2nd adder.7z
https://www.mediafire.com/download/b9a0dhxk97bdi7o/%23WAW_2nd+adder.7z#WAW_2nd_adder.7z

Both adders must be installed this order or the air.ini entries won't work and you will get a CTD.  I have not tested the 1st adder by itself, but loaded one after the other before testing the combined addition.   Also these were installed on the base system and are my only changes.  I haven't tested the additions with other mods.

So far I've tested them in the QMB only and everything seems to work except the PZL37B doesn't have any bombs.

Also no stationary planes have been added, but I plan to make a third adder to include them as well so they can be used in the FMB.

I merely compiled these additions for my own use.  After some limited testing which was successful, I now offer them to the SAS community.   Any feedback (good or bad) is welcome.

Enjoy ... tooslow

Edit ...
P.S. I just downloaded both files from mediafire at the same time and it took my slow DSL connection a little over 30 minutes, hope you do better.

Edit 2 ...
Additions to ini & ru files for adders 1&2 download ...
https://www.mediafire.com/download/p5gde2p1a684ud8/ini_&_ru_entries_for_adders_1&2.7z

The air file entries are in the order I put them in the air.ini files, but their position in the menu will be determined by where you place them in the air.ini file.  To get the same file placement (and menu locations) I used ( I tried to follow the original menu placement) you will have to carefully insert the air entries into the appropriate areas in the existing menus, but you might find it easier to make future modifications if you keep them all together ... it's just a choice.

The position of the plane.ru and the weapon.ru entries are not critical and will not affect their order in the menu, but they must be included for the additions to work properly.

Hope you find these files useful ... tooslow

Thanks, tooslow ! Nice work !

But one question : CUP is not supposed to be static. I mean, there will be additions, other SFS files, other ini files, etc. So, in case of this to happen, would it be possible to just have an additional file which specifies the lines to add in the different ini files ?

For my own needs I will need to update the STD to keep them current when CUP-WAW changes are made ... I can certainly share any updated files I make.  I would hope that if others find these additions useful and trouble free (whatever that means?), that maybe they could be included in a SFS file to speed loading and execution plus save space.   SFS files are beyond my current abilities, I'm just a simple "compactor".

I will see if I can put together a notepad file with the changes, but it may be a little bit as I'm getting ready for a cruise.

Gentlemen, great work with the Patch! It's really huge!

But I need to ask:

1. Is it normal that some maps slow down your computer? I ask this because I once played that Moscow map that features the actual city on HSFX and it ran fine, but the (apparently) same map on CUP is pretty slow.

2. Is it possible to add manually more planes on CUP? Is it easier comparing to doing the same to the regular IL2?
One day I heard someone here,IIRC,saying that the game had some kind of restriction that allowed a limited total amount of objects that could be ingame,so I wonder if that barrier was broken at CUP.

3. I'm regularly having graphical bugs with the planes at The Jet Age mod. They appear as prolongations of the wings and a "vaccuum" at the Tu-95 cockpit. Did anyone else experience that?

Thanks in advance.

Gaston,

I added the air.ini & .ru properties entries to my earlier download post ... Reply #1094 ... the text is repeated below ...

Count me in tooslow - any chance you can add the Leo451?

I originally tried to include it, but I couldn't make it work.  While I didn't get a CTD while loading ... when I tried to fly a scramble mission in the QMB the plane would start on it's belly with the landing gear retracted and the props bent.  An air start would begin with the engines off followed by a steep dive and a crash, but with enough altitude (3-4000 meters) it was possible to get the engines started and get the plane under control.  When I removed it from the load several other problems went away, so I finally just had to leave it out ... maybe in a future update.

Guys,

Has anybody noticed a problem with radiators not closing (and not moving once it has been fully opened up)? I have a standard CUP (just imported some conf.ini parameters from MA5.3 install and my "User folder") and I've noticed a strange behaviour with the way the radiator works. I don't know whether it could come from my CUP install or from a bug in the CUP pack. Everything seems to be working OK except that.

Radiator is basically not working properly for me. The radiator won't close after the first time it has been opened. What occurs:
  • On planes with inline engines: first "R" keystroke closes the radiator. Next ones open the radiator normally, but it won't close once it has been opened.
  • On planes with radial engines: first "R" keystroke opens the radiator, L2. Next ones open the radiator further, but it won't close there either

I can reproduce this behaviour on every planes I've tried (and I've tried many). I can see the radiator flaps opening up in the 3D model but they do not fold back (so it's not just a buggy non-displaying message). I've tried to reassign the key and it don't get any error msg about any keyboard conflict.

Has anybody noticed something like that?

Thanks a lot Griffon !!!

There was indeed a radiator parameter in the conf.ini: "SeparateRadiatorOpenClose". It was set to "1" and I assume it allows for having different keys for opening and closing the radiator. I've set it back to "0" and it is now working!!!

Thanks a whole lot pal!

Semi-installed correctly.. If I choose DoF on the selector, then start IL2 game loads up, after the starting video the splash screen is the P-47 in the hanger. If I choose single missions they are from the original game.. If I choose QMB, (after deleting last.quick) then the WWI planes are there.

Is this normal? What could I have done wrong this time? This is my 2nd attempt at DoF and YES I am pretty computer illiterate!!

To see the different load screens, see Reply #987 and #1003 in this base.  The "SaveAspect" Conf.ini setting and Game Resolution setting fixed that problem for me...
