Hi everybody!  :)

I saw some screenshots and videos around about CUP and I saw silver B-17s instead of green. Is it possible to have silver default skin for B-17G in WAW? At least for the ETO.

(All B-17 versions in my WAW are green, but I would like to have a silver default skin for the B-17G)

Hey guys, sorry if I've missed this question before but are the files supposed to overwrite each other as I install them in order?

I'm getting a crash at 70% which others have had too so I'm starting fresh.

Yeap.
Btw, if I am correct, this crash can be fixed with WaW part 08, no need to reinstall everything, unless you started already in which case, you have to now.

Yes Ogdens, the torrent will only have 7 parts for WAW because part 8 was only recently added (a few days ago)

Hello everyone.

In another post https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,45633.0.html?PHPSESSID=6d26524530fa9c5b54545c064c1294d4 Monty has spoken about a set of jet training missions (They are supposed to be in Missions > single > USMC. However in my installation these mission don't seem to appear. I've checked the original unzipped CUP files, and there is a Mission folder in file C.U.P.- Module 04 - the Jet Age Pt04. However this folder includes only background, awards and ranks files, no missions inside.

Can anyone confirm that those missions are included in the basic installation, or should I activate or download them somehow?

hey guys, is anyone having problems with some of the p-47D models in WAW? i have 3 models (P-47D-27, Thunderbolt MK.II and P-47D) with the canopy sticking out of the plane the wrong way and some missing bullet hole damage textures that show up in the error log.

also there is an effects file missing that gives constant error messages in the log, when firing the 50cals (only in the additional p-47s) this effects file seems to be an old 4.10 effect?

fumeefine.eff and fumeefine.mat (which also needs GraySmokeTrail.tga)
now for the effect, i was able to fix the error message. i found the missing effects in an old mod here at sas in an archive called "HGuderian_Weaponsmoke_Repack_UP3+DBW_Compatible_v2.7z" it has the missing file and they work properly, no more error message.


now back to the canopy. if my installation is not corrupt, monty might have used an outdate version of the "P47-D Razorback and Bubble Canopy Cockpits " mod?

the changelog for the most recent version and modfix says "Version 3.14 is available below. In 3.14 I have made some improvements to 3d, textures, and class files to minimize conflicts with other P47 mods. Also fixed some bugs with damage textures. Also fixed problem with canopies not working while carrying bombs or drop tanks or during campaigns."

so apparently that version 3.14 fixes the exact problems i am seeing. but when i try to use that within #waw, i cant get the p-47-30 (and most others that use that mod) to load as player aircraft (mission loads to 100% then freezes.)
the log errors refer to cockpit parts and stuff (most probably part of the modded cockpits :) )

i am guessing that monty also used some other p-47 mods, i can see the p-47 ordnance  mod at least being active. so adding a folder of the p-47 cockpit mod into #waw while the other p-47 mods are inside the SFS structure might mess up the loading sequence (they require a precise order in the mod folder) ... long story short, this might be a problem monty has to fix within the SFS files and then those files has to be re-released...

or if no one else can confirm my crazy observations, i just didn't sleep enough... and should go back to flying my japanese planes anyway :D
