flying under a bridge
« on: April 18, 2015, 10:03:44 AM »

I have just finished watching the first episode of a program called "piece of cake," in which a pilot flies under a bridge.

Does anyone have any recommendations for which spot on which bridge might be good for trying a similar stunt?

Any of the Thames river bridges in London on Cannon's English Channel maps are fun. You can also fly under the Eiffel Tower on the same map.

I'm not real sure of what you mean. I took this on the Finland 1 map.
You can fly under about any bridge on the maps.

Cool!  Thanks for these responses.  I guess I just lacked the courage to do it without asking.  I am grateful.

The wooden bridges assigned to dirt roads (on stock maps, anyway) are much too low for this. Try at your peril!

Default Railroad Bridges are fine, those that have 3 slopes.
I used to jagg up my Me262 under it.
Have no picture at hand, but they're half the size lower than the bridges above.
Before going to default bridges train at the examples above. To not cut fun.

Pffff, you're lacking ambition !  :D
Try breaking the sound barrier under a bridge with a Phantom, now that's some real sh*t !  :P
I might try myself, haha.

Try breaking the sound barrier under a bridge
Back in the days I was making trick compilation in LOMAC, everything was done with no invincibility or slowmo, I was slalom'ing and circling between and around power lines, grinding my rear antenna on the road and then flying up, dropping landing gear and driving on the road on one wheel only, making cobra in straight line on low speed and checking power lines with my tail.

I dropped making of this movie because of rl stuff going on but here are two cuts still left on my HDD, since I never edited whole movie and not intend to, what you are about to see is exclusive content, never seen b4.

Checking the bridges (you can see I chipped my right ruder on chimney, no invincibility stuff)
If you liked that, here is the opening to the movie, a bit calmer.
Opening if you gonna watch it, watch from the beginning to the very end, no skipping  :-X

Flying under a bridge is sometimes usefull, I was being pursued in my Aeronavale Vampire with flaps jammed and no ammo, it's the kind of moments bridges are usefull to shake off an AI ! He finally chose to zoom up in face of so much daring !
