Longer Max Range for Artillery

The base game has a 12km maximum range for artillery and tank units, which while sufficient for most of the weapons in the base game, doesn't allow for the extreme long range we see with weapons like coastal guns, the Leopold railgun, or other such long range artillery (152mm ML-20 has a range of 17.23 km for example).

Would it be possible to make a mod that allowed for MaxAttackRange of guns in excess of 12km. The Leopold needs a range of 64km for example to be realistic, and if you try to use it in the base 4.12.2m it's little more then a decoration.

To operate the Leopold uses a modified generic Class - ArtilleryGeneric.class - (integrated in Mod Leopold HSFX5 and here for 409/410 : https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,14790.msg512991.html#msg512991 ) that enables it to exceed the maximum initial distance of the game.

But I do not know if the Imperials have made the same change!

Interesting, but the 4.09 and 4.10 variants cause a version mismatch class with 4.12.2m...

Thanks... I got the Leopold and K5's capable of shooting from across the Kerch peninsula.  I also plugged in historic ranges for the artillery: unfortunately most guns can't seem to reach their historic ranges when they shoot... any suggestions?

The Soviet 85mm M1939 AA gun supposedly had a maximum firing range of 15.65 km against ground targets (firing Frag HE rounds) and can't seem manage more than half that distance.  Not sure what's going on... except I suspect that the game doesn't use historical muzzle velocities or something.

Still, great work.
