CUP won't start

I just installed CUP on 4.12.2, and the game gets to 20% and crashes, here's the log:

The log seems to show memory lack.

- Show your PC specs.... CPU / Memory gigabytes / Graphics card
- your Windows version.... which version and 32bit or 64bit
- your IL2Selector's memory setting....


if your PC has enough memory (4GB or 8GB) with 64bit Windows, 512MB or 1024MB setting in IL2Selector is recommended.

I am running it on Ubuntu 14.04 with wine, I have 64 bit Linux kernel installed, and 4gb of ram. Just tried allotting 1024mb in il-2 selector, still not working.

If it's a wine problem, I'll just keep playing stock since I rarely use Windows and don't want to boot into another OS just for il2.

How much memory is available for windows applications on your wine?

I think 2GB is needed for 512MB - 1024MB ensure in IL2Selector.

According to the wine documentation, applications are allowed as much ram as they request, so I guess that means 4gb plus my 2gb swap file.

Applying 512Mb on the selector is more likely to be successful.  Have you tried this?

Yes, I have tried 512MB. Thanks for asking though.

Right now I am just running a heavily modded 4.13 version, and I am pretty happy with it for the time being. Maybe I'll try installing CUP again sometime in the future, but as far as I know it won't be soon. ;)
