Ship Requests
« on: September 05, 2015, 05:54:38 AM »

Am I allowed to post requests for ships in the request forum, or is it exclusively for aircraft?

You can request what you want, but please ensure that you follow the request posting guidelines. https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,12475.0.html

If you are requesting a warship model then detailed modelling plans including hull lines are likely to be required.
A simple plan and profile is rarely sufficient.

Which ship are you thinking of requesting?

Akagi and Kaga with their triple deck configuration(though Kaga's 1942 look would also be nice), it would be nice to have to go with the selection of 1920s/1930s Japanese planes that have come out

Interesting idea.
At present there is no java coding to allow takeoff from multiple decks? ---- as far as I know.

I have previously searched for but failed to find good drawings of Kaga.
There is a profile publication available for Akagi --- Monografie Morskie 02 which shows the 1940's configuration.
-- and of course we have the stock model as a start point -- so maybe some simple plan and elevation drawing and photos would be sufficient for a conversion to be done.

I feel interesting, too.

As ashehouse says.... using multiple decks is impossible in IL-2 1946.
We may use only the top deck to take-off.
2nd and 3rd deck may be only eye candies.

Even with Java coding, I have no idea to make selectable for AI and Players "I want to spawn on the top deck / 3rd deck". No User-Interface to choose it.

I wouldn't mind just using the topdeck
