Hi to every ones, I add update 2 weeks ago my IL-2 with SAS IL-2 4.12.2m Mega Patch, Sas mod act 5.3, SAS Engine MOD 2.7 and the patch western 02/Dec./2014 and 1956 The JetEra version1.33 and all working fine.

I'd installed various aircrafts always from this board. Also the MiG-21s, the Unified Pack V.1.1, and all it's working really fine, all perfect. (tested all with Quick mission and every airplane it's OK, no one problem !!)

But when I installed the F4s (F-4 PhantomII v1.40 with full-function cockpit (4.12.2), plus the ver.1.41 patch) when I launch a Quick mission with the one of the Phantom, I had "Mission Loading Failed: null".

And I have the same error messagge with the F-16s (from F-16 beta v5), F-18s e AV-8B (from US Marine Aviation pack (F/A-18C/D, AV-8B+) v3.1).
I Installed today the F8 Crusader Pack from IL2 Free Modding, plus the Updated Crusader Pack (the F-8 Crusader - Upgrade mod 28.03.2015): I find that's the Phantom II needs the Crusader for running. But I had the same error message from the F-8 Crusader too..

I ask to you: Whats other Mods are requested for running this Aircrafts? The F-8, The Phantom II, F-16, F-18 and Harrier II ???

I don't Installed the old counter measures patch for the Phantom II. I had installed the last HD Skin mods.

Any suggestion please?

As I can see in my Log file the problem is the following:

And it's the same for the F-16, the F-18, Av8-B, F-8 crusader. Seems Like I cannot load the last FM ????
I found that the problem can be connected to an Outdated "SAS Common Utils" version but I had the last, the 10.9.
I had the "SAS_Engine_2.7_patch_western_20150822" installed.

Can Be a problem with Java? From Oracle ?? I had update Java today, with the last version available but always the some problem!!

Mawer, welcome!
I cannot help you yet as I am a "caveman modder", but wait until a coder reads this, one of the jet chaps, I'm sure you will get a response.

If you have no conflicts in your installation and installed like in the various readmes, it should work. TBH with all those multiple jet mods, conflicts can always occour, sometimes such a easy thing as the load order of Mods can be a decisive factor.

E.g. a "0_.." nmamed folder will load before an "A_.." named mod and a "!_..." named before these two.

PS:
It does not seem to be related, but my general tip is usually "enable texture compression" first and then try again, but this counts rather for high poly mods, in that case go into IL-2setup.exe and enable (Video) Mipmap filter Anisotropic and Texture Compress S3TC.

Or, in your config.ini

I will try your suggestions for the conf.ini. I wait for Western0221 or Vega, if they can help with my problem.

I always play with Il-2, from the first edition: I just buy all the original DVD of this wonderfull simulator. I add installed Dark Blue until 2-3 weeks ago, when I decided to pass to 4.12 and modact for tryng the Jets like the F-4s and the F-16s..

And all the others airplane mods that I installed run fine (like the new mig-21, P-80, A-4M skyhawk and all the Jet Pack airplanes are ok !!) except from the F-4, F-8, the F-18s, F-16s and the new harrier..

Update for TOM2: I check my config.ini now but I have just TexCompress=2 and TexFlags.TexCompressARBExt=1.
