Can you guys confirm that if that issue happens, there's some pink wing textures visible initially in cockpit view when turning your head around?
Happens in 1st spawn only (to me), quite like the compass bug itself: It seems to rotate in 1st spawn only. Respawn = Everything's fine.
Hm... I don't seem to get through.

Guys, what I'm talking about is this:

It's caused by the NG-USM sound mod, in particular by missing samples in there.
Download & extract this zip file to your "#UP#" folder (should get you a folder named "! NG-USM Missing Ho-5 Samples" in your "#UP#" folder), this will cure it.
https://www.mediafire.com/file_premium/8iabn9sj88ac8nt/NG-USM_Missing_Ho-5_Samples.zip/file

Not UP's fault, just saying.

Thank you for fixing Super Electra! Landing with flaps out was almost impossible.

"Maximum player slots on DServer raised from 128 to 65534".
Wow. If only that was possible 20 years ago.

Two bugs on the Seahawk that I discovered during testing for a WIP mission

Rockets fire from the left side and then the right, instead of pairs from both wings (loadout is the 20x HVAR loadouts)

More critically, when the arresting hook touches a surface, such as a carrier deck, the tailplane breaks off.

I tried replacing the base 3d with the Mk100 3d from Edlor's version of the Seahawk here: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,51922.0.html
to see if it fixed the issue, since the Seahawk in BAT uses this 3d and has neither of these issues.

This did not end up fixing the rocket issue, but it did fix the problem with the tailhook/tailplane

No log = Guesswork.
The mission you've flown was a PvP mission, it probably got loaded by FL2070 in "Fog of War" mode, hence no icons on the map.
Missing gun fire & smoke would have indicated a general issue if it happened for your fixed forward firing guns as well, but that's not the case.
Hence, it's either a mod installed on your end, or we'd need the log to get a chance at least to make up our mind.
Again, all of this is just as anecdotal as your report, as long as we don't get the corresponding log alongside with it.

It worked on my spare copy, guessing it was the mod/s I added. The map is okay now (zoomable) but the 'Fog of war' is a disadvantage this time.

German radars don't seem to be working correctly.
They're only showing me the range of the target. Even when i'm pointing 90 degrees to the side, it still says the target is in the middle of the four antenas. Also the short-range mode does not detect any targets, even if i'm almost colliding with them.

Can't confirm.
Anyone else having issues with German radars?

I installed the modpack on top of 4.12.2m if that helps. If that's just a problem on my side, could you help me fix it?

EDIT: images

First image: The planes are actually behind me, but the radar still act as they're in front of me

Second image: even if they're to the side, the radar detects them as being straight ahead

Third image: they're not being detected in close range mode (or whatever it is called)

No ground echo in long range mode?
That's not UP3 then.
Looks to me like you've installed another mod on top which contains an outdated radar part.

Note that azimuth and elevation information can only be read reliably in short range mode. In long range mode, all antennas send the "ping" and read the echo at the same time, hence there's no chance for the receiver to know where the echo came from.
In doubt, the target can indeed be behind you.
The antenna lobe extends to the aft almost as much as it does upfront.

Nope, it's UP3 with no other mods on top of a fresh install of 4.12.2m. It has no ground echo because radar gain was 0. But even if not the effects are the same, just with clutter.

In short range mode you are using 100% gain, that's why you don't see elevation and azimuth.
A B-36 has a huge RCS.
Tone down the gain until one side of the signal becomes smaller than the other.
