HI all, (not forgetting Monty!,)
Have been running CUP un modded but with  !SAS_Engine_Mod_MargeEffects_20151031R installed in WAW,for the last three days
(rem out SAS eng mod) and I have had  a crash with my mission each time during an air battle at the same place when all hell is breaking loose,.
Looking at the log it looks like a :- objects.air.Chut.Tanglechute error is the cause' it is logged 3 times just before the log file nearly ends.
I will look into this further just incase you do include this mod in any update and its my Cup version that's causing the problem.
 PS:-have no problem when running with normal SAS eng mod.

weird. the tanglechute error was traced down to the cup visualmod shortly after CUP was released.
i haven't had one of those errors since fixing the installed visualmod version.

can you share that specific mission?

I love these effects!  The JSGME package for download below allows you to independently switch them in and out of WAW and JTW.  This will help with trouble-shooting until we have more answers or if you get surprised by a mission event.  Updating a bunch of stuff this weekend (all going well across 12 timezones!) and we can put this up on the main 'Requirements' page as an option...

YES you were right I some how installed the older mod (not sure how) Have now
Installed the latest visual mod9 and the !SAS_Engine_Mod_MargeEffects_20151031R     Everything is working great so far.

PS what a great game this has become, cannot wait for monty's new addons
finding it hard to believe how old it is and how good its become !!!

Installed, FOV disabled and everything runs and looks great. I changed effects=3 as recommended, but I noticed it keeps changing back to 2 after exiting. The "read only" trick stops it from changing, but I wonder about the cause/affects? FX_small collection is the only other mod activated...time to make a drink and start digging.

i am glad that it seems to work nicely for other people too now, especially because i spent a lot of time testing the beta version for Japancat and encouraging him to keep working on the release version with the western patch and everything.

the JSGME version is the perfect solution for CUP, nicely done.  ;)
