I wonder how planes will behave when they are placed on the carrier. As far as I know planes obtain their Z-coordinate from the carrier's height (a value near the centre I suppose). But what will happen when they start their take-off run and Z-height does increase?

Has anyone ever tried starting uphill in Il2?

It is not meant to discourage asheshouse. In contrast, I look forward to testing his carrier with a crowded flight deck.

So, good fortune shall be smiling on asheshouse and his modeling skills.

Flight deck is already tested and fully working for the full range of RN aircraft.
Just needs some minor fine tuning.
Aircraft run up the ramped section with no difficulty.

The deck is actually level, but with a ramp up opposite the control tower then another level section.
There is approx 1.75m difference in level between the lower and upper sections.

Aircraft spawn height is defined by the _RWY_TO hook.
When the chocks are released the aircraft settles onto the flightdeck surface which is defined by a collision box.

It is good to hear that everything is working fine with the flight deck.

As I understand, your plane will be settled on the highest point of the flight deck after releasing the chokes. So, IL2 engine will not allow you to experience the sudden change in height from the cockpit when you start from the aft of the flight deck.

Is that right?
