And yet another 'Thankyou' (to you in particular Monty27) & of course to all involved in this great old sim/game from yet one more humble end user...very much appreciated Gents.

And yes we've had a few scorchers around Adelaide the past few days...31deg C Sunday night!!

Cheers :)

Question: I D/L the corrupted part 13... Can I just do the same steps to D/L the new part 13 and 14? i.e. rename the #WAW folder with the corrupted part 13

I can't even imagine the expertise, not to mention the labor, that goes into what you and your cohorts do for us all. A simple thank you doesn't seem enough. SAS is one of the unique treasures in the sim community.

Hi Kevin

I did the same - just rem out the #WAW (13) you have installed, reinstall the new #WAW13 and then add #WAW14

Ok, according to the instructions: If you have more options prefixed #CUP than the eight shown, I advise you to delete them from JSGMEMODS.

these are the one to delete from the jsgmemods:

#CUP_Blender Waves Type A by Herra Tohtori
#CUP_Blender Waves Type C by Herra Tohtori
#CUP_True Color HD Skins by Carsmaster
#CUP_Water=4 by Carsmaster

I agree:  True Color HD Skins is permanently installed now, should not have been an option, those others are experimental and rarely used.  I have been getting best results with water=3, I think most people do.

Sunspots and Solar activity are rarely discussed - too difficult to tax.  >:(

Thanks Henky that confirms its the right one.  We did test more new FWs, but the three new ones are unique for CUP and there may be more in the future.  The SB2c skins option should also be un-necessary - it was put there for people who were not seeing the proper default skins, vastly improved by eMeL and RDDR, and so would load them with a higher priority directly to the mod folder.  If you are seeing the beautiful Helldiver series painted by Hangar 19 then this option is also un-necessary and can be safely hoovered out of the JSGMEMODS folder.  Its getting crowded in there!

All of the feedback across the CUP forums is often like a massive open test flight.  As we can see more features working across more platforms we can compress more material.  The CUP mod folders are still impressively small, while the actual mod content is mind boggling!

The next major CUP project will be CUP Compression - A simple series of downloads will replace current SFS file content.  It will be in the same order and there will be no changes to any stage of the sim or mod folders.  There just be fewer SFS files required because each one will be a little bit larger individually.  Despite this we calculate a significant space saving overall and a performance boost.  Install will be; just chuck 'em in and delete the extras at your convenience.

One more thing:

For an instant QMB checkout of the GCI features they have been added to the QMB-CUP-Channel set of missions.  Try it out from either side and prepared to be guided to your targets by the ground based radar operators - magic!  Be sure to check out the C&C-Readme and AIRPCC_readme attached.

I don´t get it to work. Do I have to activate sth?  :-[

Make sure you have Subtitles enabled in order to see the text messages.  Activate PAL'S MissionPRO - Try CUP-Channel RedScramble00.  This set contains GCIs in place on both sides.  You can also open each mission from QMB into FMB and see the GCI objects.  The same could be done for all CUP/JTW mission sets.

Please let us know when this is working for you.  Personally I love GCI, it always blows me away when the sim starts talking to me! (through the subtitled text)
