Weird acting Axis planes in FMB
« on: December 28, 2015, 04:57:04 AM »

This is the problem:
If I put two different types of planes, a group of three Re2000's, one of which is the Player's plane, and a SM-79's on a map like Malta. The AI planes do not behave as they should be. It is no longer possible to change skins or skill and after choosing the plane the weapons field is blank, though it is possible to click on all the loads. But, they do not remain there. As soon as I changed some other parameter like altitude, the weapons field turns blank again.  It is very strange. If I chose German planes: same problem.
However: if I put Allied – Red – planes in the mission… everything is ok!!!! Another thing: if I don’t chose to let the players group to taxi, and let them take off as they did and still do in the normal Campaign mode, straight on the runway that is, The AI group (which is also taking off in the normal way) acts normal. How weird is that?

For the last six hours I tried everything out and still I have the same issue. It makes me CRAZY!

Wrote about it on CUP Downloads - Module 3 WAW Pts 15, which is the wrong place to do it. Rules are rules indeed.  ;D

Anyone an idea?

Loaded the mission for a test:

All loadouts , skins and flights (Re.200 and SM.79) selectable in pre mission screen....

All AI planes act correctly and reach the last WP where they start circuiting....

Maybe you messed up something....try to reinstall from the last restore WAW folder....

I had the same problem, and realised that I had probably changed #WAW folder without disabling JSGME options. So, I got back to JSGME, disabled all the mods and closed, then replaced #WAW folder with the one from C.U.P.- Module 03 - World at War Pt-16c, added Christmas Goodie Pack files and then re-enabled JSGME options. And...problems with FMB were gone.

Gatrasz, this is what I will try out immediately!

I will let you know how it worked out.

Nope, does not work for me. Even replaced all WAS related files by new ones.
I can create the mission and as long as I don't save it, no problems.
As soon as the mission is saved, and opened again, the AI planes (only Axis) are reacting strange. Though selected four, only one can be seen, weapons field is blank.

I suggest to reinstall WAW....maybe a corrupted file during extraction can be the cause....

The pack such this have this little drawback: when you have a bugged installation is hard to find the culprit....but reinstalling (from my experience) is anyway far quick than reinstall or debug a self made modded installation!

I spent a lot of time to delete CUP completely, the basic IL-2 included.
Installed everything from notch... brand new install... and I was happy till I tried to put two types of Italian planes in the Malta map...  :( :( :( o_O
Same problem!!!
I don't really understand it anymore, but I won't give up.
Next thing I am going to try out is: downloading all WAW modules again. Reason: may be a small error broke in…
If re-installing the full WAW module cannot solve the problem I presume it must be something in Module 1. I will download that too and re-install it to see what it does ...
