No cat with Eagle
« on: December 30, 2015, 03:16:38 PM »

Hi Simon,

It's usually me, but TJW works fine in all respects as far as I have tested, except the AI selection in your beautiful campaign ( I guess as I cannot play as yet) does not move the F9F to the cat.

Suggestions?

Thanks.

Jack

SOLVED! My bad wording of this issue really meant the Eagle Campaign where the F9F would not use the Boxer cat. I reloaded all and everything works as advertised. My bad. Thanks for the interest.

Not all carriers have a catapult.

For example, I do not believe any of the Japanese carriers have a catapult at all.

I don't think HMS Eagle has a catpult. Perhaps Asheshouse could chime in?
Or you could ask in the thread where HMS Eagle was released.

i can confirm that the Eagle does not have a cat.
to easily check this yourself, just open your catapults.ini file and look for the name of the ship - if there's no entry for it, it has no catapult. simple as. ;)
standard location for catapults.ini - inside Engine Mod folder - com\maddox\il2\objects...

The model replicates the real HMS Eagle, therefore does not have a catapult.
If you are experiencing any problems taking off then increase the ships speed.
The model was tested with Fulmar, Swordfish and Gladiator aircraft types.
