Solution of the Update error

(Failed to download updates)
(check your internet connection or tray again later)

HSFX 7.0 to HSFX 7.0.3

Manually update to HSFX v7.0.3 because the Auto Updater doesn't work anymore.

Instructions:

1. Deactivate ALL mods enabled in JSGME!

2. Download this file , and UNZIP IT INTO THE MAIN IL2 FOLDER (where the IL2fb.exe file is). Allow it to overwrite all files.

3. Re-activate HSFX History Mod and Expert Mode.

4. Start the sim. Ensure the splash screen says V 4.12.2m HSFXv7.0.3 expert.

You should be good to go!

Thanks man. Just wondering if you know whether the update server will ever be up again or are they permanently down?

Hey all.

I cannot for the life of me figure this one out. Each time I have tried to download HSFX 7.0 to 7.0.3 the following message appears.

"HSFX_700_ to_703.zip is not commonly download and could be dangerous"

Options are to discard. I have looked at the properties of the downloaded file and the following is displayed,

Type of file=CRDOWNLOAD FILE
Opens with .....Pick an App

Sorry fellas.....just lost on this one o_O

Thanks for response. I do not have problems downloading zip files, they download just fine and I can unzip and install. For some reason the File itself is not downloading as a zip but a CRDOWNLOAD file.....whatever that is. It does have the 92+ mb listed in the properties info. Very baffling eh?

Disregard previous message. I tried a third time and waited a little longer after download finished. I selected KEEP FILE and POOF!!! The zip showed up in the selected (extras) folder on my desktop. Onward to installation :)
