Startup sounds wont stop

Admin. If this is the wrong forum please move!
I had such a problem before with Beaufighters or should I say Bristol engines. Now with CUP it has showed up again but with inline engines. Both DB and Merlins have the same repeating startup sound it even stays there when I come to the quit mission screen in QMB? I cannot find anything in the log.lst or sound.log referring to sound issues, there´s only the usual sound setup references. The sound is quite annoying!

i'm not using CUP atm, but i'm going to say the first thing to try is to disable/change the WAW soundset-03, to see if that makes a difference.
at least then we'll have a better idea of where this issue originates...

I disabled WAW_soundset2 in the brand new WAW enviroment. The inline engines still don´t stop the startup sound. I also tried the 109 and the Do335 and they have the same problem, Spits have a really strange sound cutting in every 5 - 10 sec, its like a screaming 2 - 3 sec noice like a slippoing belt! I can´t find any trace in the logs of something wrong.
I also get CTD when bullets or shells hit something and now I get this error in the log.lst:
