When you mention it, I have this problem too, but I haven´t flown that much from carriers or over seas for some time so I cannot remember when I last saw ships on a map! Testing a QMB the aother day I recall not seeing them on the minimap without sthinking much about it!

hmmm I don't have this particular problem , my problem is that I can no longer zoom in and out of/with the mini map. I used to be able to either use mouse wheel or right click and the mini map would act accordingly. ie: zoom in and out, so I can get a larger view of the map area. ANY help would be appreciated, as I have looked for this before and couldn't find a solution, besides not using the vismod minimap with it's different features which I quite enjoy.

When I saw this latest post, I was hoping that the missing ship icon issue had been solved, but. . .

Are you certain that the mouse wheel (which I believe is the default) has not been inadvertently assigned to another command?If so, you need to change it back.
