CLASSFILE FIX

They are in there this time but not all updated correctly, giving you a mission load 'null' error.  Well they are fixed now and will stay that way.  I'm not moving them again!

JSGME OPTION
Frazer Nash Field Mod by Zip Comic

This is the Blenheim MkIVF with heavier calibre rear top turret, a rearward facing chin turret and dive bombing capability.  The belly gun pod is removed to open up the bombay and go back to a bomber with a 20mm cannon choice.

This 'fighter' version is without a bombsight view, so bombing is case of good judgement by eye or mission planning IP and drop-point.  All other Blenheims do have the full working bombsight view.  Some nice new loadouts are added when this option is active.

This mod adds some classfiles and 3do but does not alter the air.ini or core mod folder files.  Therefore; you can easily return to your previous Blenheim by deactivating it and this option will remain available even when #WAW is further upgraded.

These upgrades will be included in all subsequent WAW Upgrades but you can drop them in there right away for no ill effect and an instant fix. 

INSTALL:
UnZIP/UnRAR Straight to main il2 Directory and allow overwrite.

I hope, some time in the future, we will have this plane as a separate one : I always liked the Blenheim with the chin turret...

The good thing would be to have it as a loadout option for the normal MkIV, but I do not know how to do such a thing...

Simon, I can usually keep all the mods straight in my head but with all the changes the last few days (good ones!) I think I got lost on this one.  I downloaded this Blenheim MkIVF fix yesterday and it was 3.16 MB but now I see it is only 372 KB.  Inside, I see that the "Fordtrimoto" folder is gone from the 3DO/Plane folder.  Was this just a mistake and should I remove the 1st Blenhein fix folder from my jsgmemods before installing this smaller fix?  If I just overwrite with the current fix, it will leave the "Fordtrimoto" folder in there.

Interesting plane.
Heavy, slow, terrible climb, low effective elevators. But stable gun platform, better than Bf110, imho.
Engines and unhappy bombardier are real bullet magnets.
Overall, quite capable - after some practice - to destroy 3-5 bombers. Ammo is enough.
And this turret is hepful in both defence and attack.

She can dive very well, but there is no bombload?

Yes there is a bombload.  If you are not seeing it something is wrong with your install.  Check conflict with extra mods installed and try this at a higher load order.

The MkIVF version was a converted long range fighter version.  That's why the load out doesn't contain bombs just ammo...

The MkIV however, does have bombs in it's load out.

It works for me.  Maybe this option doesn't work for other people.  Therefore something is either missing from this option or missing from the main CUP install.

Huh?  Where does it put those bombs, there is no bomb bay!  I even tried to open the bomb bay just to see what happens but no effect.  My load out just says: Default, Empty, 1 X 20mm Cannon.  The cannon gets added to the nose.

That's for the standard MkIVF - Then you activate the option #WAW Blenheim MkIVF and the aircraft is modified as shown.

You beat me to it!  I just noticed that I only activated the MkIV option in JSGME  DOH!  After I activated the mod, I now have bombs.  The bomb bay doors open on bomb release.

Move along, nothing to see here...   :P

Phew Dennis!  Its a choice, the MkIVF Field Mod only happens when the choice is JSGME Activated.  i thought it would be a good way of trying out soem other configurations without re-building the sim each time.  8)

You are literally spoiled for choice!  ;D
