Engine stops running upon entering QMB

After updating according to the prescribed manner, upon launching a qmb the propeller is idle and starts spinning after hitting the space key but after a bit of flying the engine quits. The same for the AI- they crash to ground due to engine failure.

Yes I too am having this problem. Started with update 19. Just in QMB, FMB all works fine. RL stuff getting in the way to deeper investigation.

I had it once and the only solution was an installation from scratch. I hope to avoid it this time.

did you find a fix for this problem of motors not running when starting a QMB? I have the same problem in spite of my restoring actions.

Nope I haven't fixed it. In fact I don't get enemy planes in QMB either, I guess they also start with their engines off and crash?

I had this problem when I had "air.Placeholder" selected either as friendly or enemy plane (air.Placeholder is that funny wheel thing)
Make sure you dont have it selected as a plane on both tabs in QMB.

you are right, it had something to do with that, I changed the map, pushed on some buttons including "reset" and now it works.
