Have you by any chance installed IL2 in the "Program Files" folder? IL2 is old school and doesn't like the restrictions imposed on the Program Files directory by a modern OS. It prefers to be somehere like D:\Games\IL2.

Your selector's choices are governed by a file called il2fb.ini which should be in the root of the IL2 directory.

Any chance of a screenshot of the contents of your IL2 folder?

I'm playing on a steam version. My disc has seen better days, won't install on Windows 8.1 sadly.

I don't use the steam version so you may have to wait for someone with that setup to give you further guidance.

This may not be of any help, but you can install Steam games in any directory or hard drive you wish. There are or were instructions how to do this within the steam website and I assume you can search online for instructions. I have done this with Cliffs of Dover but this was years ago and never had problems with linking the game into steam at start-up or updating the game.

I'm willing to move the entire IL-2 Folder into games if I need to.

I did move it. I seemed to be working until I turned and pulled G's. Screen started doing the same thing.

Logs say nothing about errors. Just "rendersticker timeout.msg" over and over again.

I re-read the thread and you said the problem does not happen in stock, only in WAW.

Did you activate any of the effects mods in JSGME?

I've tried it with them all off. No difference.
