German Roundel Markings History 1913-2016 = For Skin Artists



A selection of German "Luftwaffe" Roundel markings with date and descriptions.
I hope that in my researches I got the dates correct. If not, please advise me.

Take notice: Some aircraft roundels and insignia presented here may contain the swastika emblem.
 These have been reproduced only to obtain maximum historical accuracy regarding the markings of some warplanes of World War 2.
The author of these aircraft skins renounces from any political and ideological connections and actions related to
such political ideologies as the nazi and fascist ideologies, past present and the future.

Merci Epervier.
But do not tinker too much with skins already made, because through the years of WW1 (and sometimes WW2)
the field crews sometimes painted the roundel insignia, and rear tail insignia, not according to the laws given.
So there are even more variants which I did not place on this poster thing.

In my researches I have come across some very interesting designs which I did not notice before.
Only when a person starts to really look at the designs as seen in old photographs, does one become amazed at
the many different styles used.

The appearance is due to crappy reproduction in literature,
a common mishapp on Me262.
