DOF: Pilot Career Menu Issue -FIXED-
« on: April 01, 2016, 11:44:11 PM »

Greetings!

When attempting to begin a campaign in Dawn of Flight, I am able to select a nation, but when I attempt to proceed to the next screen, the game appears to get stuck somewhere between the two.  Bars of the next screen, superimposed over the previous, flash constantly and I am unable to go back or forwards.  Unfortunately, all attempts to take a screenshot of this have resulted in a black screen.

In what I can only assume is a tangentially related issue, clicking on create quick mission causes the game to hang.  I've waited about five minutes on the stuck main-menu screen to no avail.

The real kicker is that neither of these directly cause a crash.  I have to force the game to quit with the task manager, and it doesn't generate a log file.

Any help would be appreciated!

EDIT:  Having gotten to that point, I've discovered I have the same issue with both JTW and TGA.  WAW seems to work with no issues, though.

Hello!
Just a suggestion. Try to delete the file .last.quick inside folder Quicks (it should be in your root Il2 folder).

It is supposed that the last quick problem was solved, but after some game updates, I've found the same problem when changing eras.
However it is easy to solve. Whenever you have a problem after changing among DOF, TGA, WAW and JTW, remember to delete .last.quick file.
It worked for me several times.

Hope it helps.

That appears to have solved my problem!

Thank you!
