CTD when trying to start up WaW
« on: April 17, 2016, 01:14:02 PM »

Hello all, i recently installed the WaW mods and everything else that is required for it to run, but i somehow still end up with a CTD.

I try to launch the game through the IL-2 Selector, it then takes me to the splash screen for a couple of seconds, followed by a white screen and then immediately sends me back to my desktop.

I hope these are the right logs, and i tried using the Insert code but it kept telling that i ''couldn't use any external links'' or something

Check if you have the "sas_basic_50.sfs" in your main IL2 directory. If not you need to find that file and paste it there!

There is no such file in my directory, or in any of the mod folders, does anyone have a clue where to get the file from or from which mod pack?

Yes, 'sas_basic_50.sfs' is a part of SASModAct5.30. It's, by the way, step N.4 in the step-by-step CUP installation process  ;)

here we go again - 2nd post in exactly the same vein in 2 days.... read the following

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,47647.0.html

then read it again, download and read the manual, you should have found the link after reading the page 2 times. Then and ONLY then start to download and install CUP and WAW.

Take note of the section concerning log files and also additional notes with each download.
