Author Topic: AAA Vehicles do not fire to enemy planes in WAW part 20 (SOLVED)  (Read 1199 times)

Good day to all the community...well I'm creating some missions and "discovered" that the wirbelwind (also the flakpanzer coelian and the nimrod) that is available under the artillery objects in the FMB  doesn't fire to enemy aircrafts, so I want to know if this is a bug or I'm missing something, I tested the same objects on the Vpmedia's mod pack and they work great. There is something that I can do to solve the problem or there is some high level modding involved in the fix?

The first thing to try is to compare the techics.ini entries from both packs. You can also try to place the entire #SAS\VEHICLES_Wflyr_Armor\3do\SPG\Wirbelwind folder from my pack into CUP WAW.

I was sure I had already seen this problem before...and that's it ! Not easy to find, I have to admit. The names of the threads are not always specific enough  :D

Maybe it's not the same thing but...it seriously could be  ;) Better to read the whole thread though ; it's never a good thing to jump to modifications in the .ini files without reading the whole thread (and always make a copy of the original files before !).

You were both right, Gatrasz the solution was to add the  "FireFastTargets  1" line  under the  section  "// Weapon"  of the ofending objects in the technics.ini file as stated in the post that you found...Thanks for your search.

This is a very useful post. So far, it solved the same issue for some artillery pieces that didn't seem to work. For example, in TGA, the Mod38_75mm and art_74mm_M1897. Changing FastFireTargets from 0 to 1 did the trick.
