A DCG campaign for CUP by Shakaali

Download: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads3&file=details&id=2309

Background:

Following Iraqi pro-nazi coup d'état British forces launched a massive military operation in Iraq during April 1941. By the beginning of May Iraqi air force was wiped out of the sky and coup d'état leader Rashid Ali asked axis forces for assistance. Germany responded quickly and sent in a detachment called Fliegerführer Irak that arrived in Mosul on 13 May. Fliegerführer Irak consisted of 12 Messerschmitt Bf-110 heavy fighters, 12 Heinkel He-111 bombers and a few transport planes with hastily painted Iraqi markings. RAF Iraqi forces had about 200 aircraft. Even though RAF aircraft were mostly second line aircraft, it was clear that German help was mostly symbolic. As Fliegerführer Irak had no spare parts and their aircraft were not tropicalized, they were rendered useless by the end of May.

Fliegerführer Irak claimed one victory, a Gloster Gladiator shot down by future night fighter ace Martin Drewes. Surprisingly, they lost only one man as Major Axel von Blomberg was killed when his He-111 was shot at from the ground.

Italy sent in some Fiat CR-42 biplane fighters that arrived on scene 26 May and accomplished next to nothing.

Campaign notes:

Some actual squadrons are not available, so they are replaced by random squadrons.

Hawker Audax is not available, replaced by Hawker Hart (although 4th Service Flying Training School actually had some Harts, too)

Sadly this seems to be broken in BAT 4.2.1 w/ DCG 3.49 release and the CUP compatibility patch [both trying with the patch active and no mods active]. Clicking generate minimizes the il2 program and does not load anything. Further clicking results in a click-thru every time. No other instability. Many thanks <3

Disregard previous message, I am a literal moron of the highest caliber. Overzealous use of the search function was to blame, just trying to try everything DCG.. Sincere apologies to Shakaali for necroing this  :-[ :-[ :-[

Tested fully working on BAT 4.2.1 and DCG 3.50. Each career loads and plays.

Built for CUP but seemingly fully compatible, Shakaali and mods maybe move this to WAW missions for more visibility? Makes great use of an excellent map!  ;D
