Radio Objects Don't Work
« on: May 19, 2016, 02:57:49 PM »

I have my radio files as .mp3 with RIFF-WAV header, each is in the samples, music, radio, folders, and I have all the options selected in-game (play music, realistic navigation). But when I press "Next Beacon", and it tells me what radio station I am listening to, I only hear silence. What could I possibly be doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

Perhaps because no solution for you!
Personally I have never managed to run this thing!
So I not insist and leave the default options.

You need to have a radio beacon object on the map. Try adding one in the FMB or play a mission or campaign that has beacon objects present

If you are speaking to radio stations, you need to make sure that there are music sound files in the individual radio station folders, e.g., Radio Honolulu, Radio Moscow, etc. That is, samples/music/Radio/Radio_Honolulu, etc. You might want to go to Mission4Today and download, then install, some of the radio music selections available there. Those selections will undoubtedly be in the correct format.

Other thoughts. If your aircraft is too far away from a station, you may not hear anything. Also make certain that the in game music volume is sufficiently loud to hear the station above the roar of the engines.

The radio works now that I have downloaded files straight from M4T. I was taking those files and adding them. That may have been the cause of my problem. Thanks!
