I skipped a part
« on: June 11, 2016, 07:53:06 PM »

Hello everyone,

I am installing the World at War Module and I found out I skipped Part 8. I already went through a few restore points. Should I be worried?

Hi Venator 77. No need to worry about it if you are considering to upgrade your game to the last WAW Pt.20, but you'll have to add WAW46.SFS and WAW48.SFS files (only) from Pt.08 in the SFS_WAW folder. Anything else (including WAW47 and WAW49 SFS files), like #WAW folder, must have been replaced with the next Restore Point ;)

So only the WAW46 and WAW48 SFS are required? That's it?

You need of course all the SFS files from WAW01 to WAW70 (if you did go through WAW Pt.20), but if I'm not wrong, you already should have newer versions of WAW47 and WAW49 (from Pt.09 or later, I guess)...

Edit : I found out that Pt.09 brings you new WAW47, 48 and 49 so you may only need WAW46. But if you already have those files, don't overwrite them with older versions, of course !  ;)

Thank you! One last question, does WAW46 involve the management of the maps in FMB?

I don't think so. Maps are located in SFS_MAPS folder (from MME Module) ; they are called into any other module with the MAPMODS folder in your #WAW (or #DOF, #JTW, #TGA...) folder so if you got all the required files from MME archives and an up-to-date restore point #WAW folder, everything should work properly.

I'm asking this because my FMB maps aren't  ordered like they are supposed to. I can only get some East Front maps, the others hidden. How do I fix this?

Because in this case, the answer is in CUP Manual V.7, Page 21  ;)
