Speed, heading and altitude info in CUP
« on: June 24, 2016, 03:40:41 AM »

I've noticed that in CUP are missing the informations about speed, heading and altitude in the lower left corner of the screen. I know, this is a more realistic and immersive choice, but because of my old computer and my graphic card, is very hard for me to read directly from the cockpit gauges.

Is there a way to bring back that info on the screen?

Thank you

hi OberstDanjeje,
no, I've set "Toggle Speed Bar" with ctrl-s on the keyboard but it doesn't work.
I think it is a CUP feature, because in QMB the info appears, but only in QMB and not in campaigns.

QMB difficulty settings and Career settings are separate. Check your difficulty settings when starting a career.

Hi Moezilla,
I know, but I play always with the same difficulty settings, both QMB and career. The same settings that I use in my VP Modpack installation (in which I see the info).
The first campaign I played in CUP - "Typhoon over Normandy" - I thought it was a campaign author choice, then I noticed that the info doesn't appear even in stock campaigns...

How about enabling and setting of Visual MOD V9 by Pablo ?

Visual MOD V9 contains SpeedBar expansion and it might have special setting lines in conf.ini --- [Mods] section ,  Or pull down menu in the game.
Please read its instruction manual published in Visual MOD V9's release topic.

Yah - a quick test for you - if your using vismod disable it and see if the speedbar comes back - even though I've set it in the vismod menu I get no speedbar unless I disable it - was unaware there might be a config setting change as well...

I've tried to deal with VisualMod 8 and 9 but it's a total mess...
VisualMod 9 ON, no info; VisualMod 9 OFF, info only in stock campaigns; VisualMod 8 ON, info in mostly every campaign except some with only Heading info...

I will ask to my old friend "Total Reinstall" (I reinstalled CUP thousand times, to solve a problem and having a new one...)

I have the speed bar in my CUP install
So or you have problem with your game or there is a mod who disable it

This is very odd. The Toggle Speed Bar function in my CUP installation works just as well as it always has in the stock installation I use now and then. I have PALsVisualMOD9-4122 in my JSGME, but whenever I have it activated, my WAW loads to 60%, then - CTD, so I've never been able to use it. Maybe it's just as well....

If you want to try vismod try the standalone version not the JSGME. I got many "TangleChute" ctd"s until these forums pointed out the issue - that version seems to work fine - except no speedbar. Actually I do get Gauges but not Traditional or Digital Numeric in the vismod options menu. Remove vismod and the speedbar works as it always did.

Many thanks, gn728. I'll try the standalone version and see what happens.  ;)
