When trying to launch game from Selector it appears to start but then kicks back out to Selector within a second, logfile has this:

Running WIN8. My first attempt at CUP, so I tried to follow the installation instructions carefully and search for similar problems here, sorry if I've missed something obvious.

"windowUse3RendersUI" was introduced with IL-2 4.13RC4.
CUP is for IL-2 4.12.2.
Apparently you have installed CUP on top of IL-2 4.13.x instead of IL-2 4.12.2.
You might want to give it a try and reinstall Patch 4.12.2 on top of your current CUP installation:

If it works, fine.
If not, reinstall IL-2 from scratch, patch up to 4.12.2 only and reinstall CUP.

Thank you, I thought that since Modact 6.0/6.1 was good for 413R4m it wasn't a problem (I have the GOG Games version of IL-2 1946, which installs as 413)

Hi.

I think it's needed to be cleared to solve your problem.
Do you want to play C.U.P. ? or some other specific MODs like modern Jets ?

When your answer will be YES, SASModAct 6.1 won't solve it.
C.U.P. has no compatibility to 4.13 variants, it needs just the 4.12.2m + SASModAct5.3 .
And some other MODs like most Jets are the same. Only having compatibility to 4.12.2m .

GOG might publish a special patch for his customers to down-grade IL-2 1946 version from 4.13m04RC. So you may get 4.12.2m stock game with it.


When you don't mind C.U.P. and non-4.13m-compatibility MODs, I'll recommend updating stock game to 4.13.1m and use SASModAct6.1 .

Thank you for the clarification, I was confused about Modact.

GOG default installs to 413R4m, but they also provide a downgrade patch to 410m. So I plan to install 413 > downgrade to 410 > 4.12.2m mega patch > Modact 5.3 > CUP
