Meanwhile in the northen part the Red3 sector fortifications are ready, I only have to sort out which buildings I have to put behind them.

That looks GREAT!

What game version are you using Filipo?

The reason I am asking is that newer game versions such as the VP-Modpack has
been including ALOT of new skin retextures for the 3d-models , which enhance all the maps
and makes them look more realistic.
I notice in some of your screenshots that the buildings you are using and some of the
other models wear the old skins.

But do not worry, you can still use exactly what you have now, because the new skins bring out more
of the details to these models and make their colors look more realistic on the maps.

Your creation is looking superb!  8)

Thank you for your kind words Max! I'm using HSFX 7.0.3 for 4.12, but my version is heavily modded, I've basically mixed up everything what I've found online, from SAS ModAct to DBW, without counting all the indipendent mods that I've put in my game, so basically it's a huge mess of mods ahahahahah  ;D
Therefore to better enjoy this map I suggest to download many mods including the coastal guns from SAS and some french AA guns such the 13,2mm Hotchkiss that was widely used in this island.
Since this one is an heavily historical map, I will also inlcude in the release a mission with every gun in their right position, and also the wreckage of the Saida Maru west of the main pier.

Back to the mapping, the Black beach sector is now ready, it's the most fortificated sector of the island so be careful when you fly up there!

And with the "hangar" part of the airport the whole west side of Betio is ready!

yes, please be careful that this doesn't cause too many issues down the road, which will happen especially if you use objects that others might not have. just keep that in mind.
otherwise, it's looking pretty cool - the sort of map i will certainly use :D

Got it Malone, I'll sort out a list with all the objects pack that I've used, so it will be easier to check what might be missing in your mod folder.

About mapping, good news! I've finished the whole island, from north to south and from east to west, here you can see Black Beach 2 and a fortified complex next to Red Beach 3:
