Got started and got stucked very early on - map selection 

Can somebody tell me what is the difference between these two maps:

Excellent campaign, as all Lonestar's campaigns are.

However, it is designed for DBW so it might not be 100 % compatible with CUP. It should be, but strange things may happen. But definately worth trying.

Anyway, there can never be too many Battle Of Britain campaigns so I will create my own version, designed for CUP.

Shakaali - DCG doesn't query IL-2, it uses class files that correspond to a specific version of IL-2. There are class files for CUP that have to be replaced and the campaign will work. This is in addition to Sniperton's DCG - CUP weaponsmods to prevent the "pink plane" effect

The class files contain the specific vehicles, loadouts, skins, and units in any specific IL-2 version. class.dcg, weapons.dcg, loadout.dcg, armour.dcg etc.... Just replace anything that says "*.dcg" in the DCG folder with the any of the files from the CUP designed DCG campaigns.

The problem is that different modpacks have different content. If in the mission master file (.mis) or in timetable commands there are units or objects that are not present in current game installation, they will not load. In some cases that may cause dcg to halt or mission not loading.

For instance, DBW has several ground units CUP doesn't have. If one ore more of those units are used in the .mis file, the campaign will not work correctly, as the game does not recognise the units dcg is trying to load.

Correct. Plus individual Mod packs alter content over time. In my case, also, I only correct the itemsI need for that campaign. For example, taking my CUP War Over Italy campaign class.dcg file and trying to use it for a pacific campaign would not be pretty. For that reason and others I always put my campaign-specific files in the third-party folder.
