Good day to all the members of SAS and to all the players of our venerable sim.
Today I proudly present my first campaing for Il-2 1946:
Operation Váli.It is a scripted “What If” campaing consisting in 54 missions taking place in France during May and June of 1944, You will be a Luftwaffe pilot transfered from the eastern front to France in face of the increasing allied airpower...but this time things are different for the Luftwaffe...
Features:Made with CUP (Part 21) from the ground up, taking advantage of the huge library of objects, planes ships and vehicles availabe in this great Modpack.
You will fly various planes in a realistic context within the history of the campaing.
Made with immersion in mind, I wanted to do something in which the player feels part of the history happening around him.
Made using various objects of the awesome Command and Control Mod (I can’t praise enough this Mod, this campaing gets a great part of its life from this marvelous work).
Living Battlefields, you will know where the battle is!
Do you have a nice pair of rudder pedals?, you are going to use them more often now!, There is an extensive use of the taxi to take off feature (You will receive a bonus if you let your plane where you found it).
I know that the weather options in IL-2 are very limited and unrealistic (sadly) but the Cloud height, Wind speeds and Wind directions are based on historical records (METARS) for the months of May and June of 2015 for the same (or near) region where the player’s airbase is located in the game, spiced with the Dynamic Weather object from the Command and control mod, correctly configured to avoid abrupt changes in weather (using the default 20 min change cycle).
The campaign includes Music, news (with especific dates of transmission), and battlefield communications (later in the campaign) to increase immersion, and to keep you entertained during your flights.
