Hi all.

I want to install the C.U.P mod and I believe I've followed things correctly, but I keep running into an application error when I try to run the game. I've narrowed it down to when I install the ModAct 5.30 to my otherwise stock 4.12.2m (using the patch on here).

I can run 4.12.2m fine and things only go wrong when I install ModAct 5.30. The error I get is "The application was unable to start correctly (0x0000142). Click OK to close the application."

I'm running Windows 10 64-bit and as I said, the stock game works fine.

I've search around for this error and there's hints of it being a DLL problem, but it does only go wrong at this step.

Any ideas?

Edit: I'm using the GOG version so installed in c:\GOG Games\ so should have no write permissions problems I think.

Ok, I think I've cracked it. I was trying to run the il2fb.exe from the main game directory after installing ModAct 5.30. What worked was running the il2fb.exe from /bin/selector, although this wasn't at all obvious!

I'll post again here if I have any further problems/solutions.
