I guess you're talking about this or a similar post:

Well generally speaking the solution for the Paratrooper error is always the above mentioned conf.ini setting.
However depending on your setup, you might be one of the 0.1% IL-2 players who are using DirectX mode instead of OpenGL.
In that case first of all you should check whether OpenGL won't fit better (IL2 is optimized for OpenGL, you get better graphics and better performance, only exception of this rule are Intel HD chipsets with CPU-integrated graphics).
If you want to or have to stick to DirectX, just apply the settings to the DirectX section of your conf.ini:
Code: [Select]
[Render_DirectX]
TexCompress=2
TexFlags.TexCompressARBExt=1

Yes I'm talking about this.
Just checked in the setup and the game is on OpenGL, still doesn't work, tried with DirectX, still doesn't work. This makes me sick.

Here is my conf.ini it seems good to you? If it is and you have no ideas of what's struggling here I'm going to DL one more time :/
Thank you for spending time to try to help me!

Hey last update :)
You can ask to Steam to check if your game is complete, that's what I did and it seems like 2 files were missing, so now IT'S WORKING, but this IL2 (from steam) is located in D: and not C:. Is it a problem? Do I need to transfer it to C: or it's just a matter of loading time duration?
Thank's so much for your help (dealing with my poor vocabulary), hope the end of modding will happen well!
Cheers  :P

Noooooooooooo.  :D
Keep it "away from the C: drive", always.  Win 10 doesn't like old games inside the C: drive.   o_O
