Just getting cup installed

Have downloaded All CUP modules. Now to install. The files are all .rar type but i have 7zip. How do i install to my ready Il-2 '46 folder? Pretty dumb question but I was spoiled with VP install.Thanks for any help. Regards,Scott

1/ 7Zip will handle .rar with no issues

2/ ensure you read the instructions fully here https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,47647.0.html and in the manual which you should have downloaded already  ;)
 
Then and only then are you ready to install your CUP. Please make sure to enable logging just incase you have issues. If you do have issues its almost certainly because you have missed a step in the instructions.

Tried to install with 7 zip and it simply made folders for each part of CUP. The Cup install is totally ignored buy the base sim. Game runs fine as if there is nothing wrong. Should i manually install all of the CUP parts ?

you can manually move all parts across, just ensure folder structure is adhered to, some later downloads will overwrite earlier files, this is normal. Make sure to take note of any special instructions with each install, ie backups etc
