IJN Tailcode Kanji for Skinners - Is there such a thing ?
« on: January 04, 2017, 12:02:15 PM »

Hey Guys , I am not really a skinner , but I want to start compiling accurate IJN/IJA Sqdn (tail) codes to apply to my favourite generic japanese skins.
Ultimately , I hope to lobby Team Daedalus to correctly apply these codes to the ingame regiment units , as they have done to many RAF , and USAAF NWE Theatre aircraft.

I am finding it challenging on 2 levels :
First just getting the codes - wiki has a list here which is getting me excited ,
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_air_groups_of_the_Imperial_Japanese_Navy
Second , I am sure that kanji , like other scripts has various forms , and I am interested in being as accurate as I can.

I am wondering whether there is already a set of artist rendered codes somewhere at a simmer site that I  am unaware of.

Any assistance appreciated.
