Like the Fw's one I made more thinner the P-40 wires as well  ;D

This wire mod is great. However, is there a way to get this mod to work with the corrected P40's. With the more accurate wing dihedral angle, the end of the wire floats above the wing. Otherwise its back to the old rope style again  :(.

i second what vegetarian asked. Claymore, any chance of a fix to have the thinner antenna wires for the 3d corrected P40 wings, that now come standard with UP3/DBW?
i've had a look at the respective msh'es myself, but all those vertices frames coord's....i was never a great mathematician, lol... :D

P-40E/F thin wire antennas for UP3, DBW and P-40FLN mod

Actually, the current wing fix in UP3, DBW and P-40FLN pack is my version that is a hier.him tweak with stock wing shape and CF mesh edited in text editor to fix all holes. I used wire mesh from BeoWolff's version since it seems to fit OK, but I agree that it is too thick. I think the easiest solution is to just move vertices at wingtips a bit downwards with text editor in current thin wire since that just requires editing of 10 numbers. Thus there is actually no need for 3DsMax and all those conversions unless we want to get 100% correct position by comparing to blueprints.

I edited quickly the original C6_Claymore's wire mesh in text editor and attached the result. I think we now have bugless thin wire mod for P-40E/F compatible with UP3, DBW and P-40FLN mod pack, and all I had to do was to substract 0.2 from ten numbers in that mesh file. I hope you like my simple and quick thin wire mod version without any hier.him editing.
