Korrigan is right, Mick - it's most likely a texture problem.
We can sort that out for you, but as far as these QMB missions go, it might be easier to make some basic ones of your own, or from someone who hasn't used as many UP-specific objects as i have... ;)
post the error you find at the bottom of the console in FMB (Shift+Tab).
it'll be 'can't load ******tga, or something like that....

ok...the second part of the error is basically because of the first one, so the load.ini error comes up because of the missing texture, NTLDarwinSmall_AlteredBush6.TrunkTL.tga.
you'll need to install all the necessary textures for the map, check on MrO's map thread for that info...also check viking's post just below his, about the changes that need to be done for some of the textures. if you follow those instructions, your map should load.... ;)

has anybody tried these missions, to see if they're loading correctly, and not suffering from the problem i've described in my second post above?
i'm really keen for some feedback, because it's really puzzling me why my searchlights and AAA seem to disappear when i fly the mission in QMB.... :o

THX Malone and Korrigan, I (of course) had MrO Tex pack installed, I'll now try Viking's load.ini  fix and if that doesn't work I'll have a fresh beer before I go nuts ... :D

Thanks for these great missions, I really like all QMB mission sets for new maps.

I only have a little issue with scramble missions: I want to take off with my fighter plane to fight and shoot down some enemy planes, but after I have successfully shot down all flying enemies, I RTB and find some hostile tanks all over my airfield. It's not so nice to get a heavy round from tank's main cannon straight into my cockpit or fuel tank at the end of the mission while parking my plane. Those tanks are really fun for bomber missions, but with a fighter there is no way to destroy them. Perhaps some softer enemies like armed cars would be better because they could be destroyed also by fighters. Then the tanks could be fighting somewhere further away as targets for bombers.

i did have a few tanks engeged in a battle for some of the missions, i think you're referring to the blue scramble mission.
normally, for this mission, there are enough friendly tanks nearby to destroy the enemy tanks. in the several times i've played it, the enemy tanks always get destroyed first.
possibly one of the enemy planes got a lucky hit on your tanks, allowing the enemy tanks to overrun the field?
best solution, just open up the mis in FMB and remove the enemy tanks you don't want - i think there are only 4 or 5...
alternatively, i'm busy adjusting the missions (populating a bit more, etc...),but not too much, to avoid increased loading times - they are quick missions, after all...
i'll probably have them uploaded this weekend.... ;)

In that unlucky mission I was actually testing the new FW 190D-15 with gunpods against four ace Mossie nightfighters and four ace Beau nightfighters. I didn't notice those heavy fighters attack any tanks or AAA, but I was busy trying to avoid their attacks. Perheps friendly tanks and AAA were busy shooting at the nightfighters flying all over the place, and they forgot to destroy the tanks to defend my airfield.

Following the path to this file "NTL_Darwin_Small_AlteredBush6a.tga" in the load.ini I found the only file in that folder was called "NTL_Darwin_Small_AlteredBush6aTL.tga" I had downloaded and installed the MrO Texture pack. If this helps at all.
