Anyone flying the Italian planes? Those Mc 205 and Fiat G55 rock. I am really impressed by their performance.

Sorry, I only shoot them.  :D  When the G55s switch to the Co-Belligerent Air Force, I'll help them out a little.  :P :P :P

I am Italian and I love R.A. and Italian planes, but unfortunately I haven't campaigns for R.A....
Could you suggest something about it?

Ciao!

Marco

There are R.A. campaigns too. Balkans in Flames is IMO one of the best campaigns ever made. The creator put a ridiculous amount of work and research into it. It's a Greece campaign, but there is also a campaign for R.A. included. https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,54097.msg588383.html#msg588383 You'll mostly be flying Cr.42s though.  :P

My top three favorite planes are the Bf-109E-K, P-51D/K, and filterless Spitfire Vc.

Bf-109B/C/D are too slow and weak, while E-K shred their targets to bits with powerful cannons and can outrun most enemy aircraft in 1939-1942.

P-51D/K are completely superior to all German and Japanese fighter planes from any year. P-51D outclimbs, outdives, outturns, outruns, and outrolls Bf-109G/K. It is also a sufficient ground-attack aircraft.

Filterless Spitfire Vc is so fast and more agile without her filter, but she still has the firepower of her filtered sisters. I once took on eight Fw-190A and four Schmittfire with three other Spitfires. I shot down all enemy aircraft and returned to base safely without a scratch on my airframe. Can't say the same for the other Spitfires though...

Hi Capt. Dawson, thanks for suggestion. I see the campaign is for DBW. Were you able to convert it from DBW to BAT then?

Ciao!

I fly and love them all.  That is my true enjoyment, taking each plane on a test drive, learning what it can and can't do.  If there are missions, campaigns, and Dgen/DCG for it, play them all for that plane, and enjoy how my skills improve for that particular machine.  Love the "accidents" because I'm flying a plane like a previous one I'm used to, adjusting my now bad habits to fit the crate I'm currently in.   Just can't beat the feeling when you think you finally "mastered" the current plane.

Now that BAT has come along and I have all those eras, I can finally go through the planes one by one in order of production date.  Its a dream come true, as I transition from plane to plane and have the technology ever improve.

As for favorite, I've got a long time to go before I choose for each era.  I just like so many of them.

There are two types of planes I like to fly, depending on mood.

1. Heavy fighters and their heavy weapons - shooting bombers to smithereens with a one second burst is quite ... err, relaxing
2. Recon planes, especially in campaigns - avoiding enemy fighters and staying alive still completing mission can be surprisingly fulfilling

But if I should name one plane only ....

Definitely...

Really too many aircraft available and not tested to make a comment for sure but i do favor the Russian aircraft and American ones also. Will take a great amount of time to go through everything BAT has to offer.
