Ki-67 not working
« on: April 11, 2017, 12:06:22 PM »

Hi
Some things just do not work although 99,9% on the other hand work great!
After starting you see the cockpit but the plane does not move. When you chance
to the outside wiew, it looks like this! You can hear the engines  quite loud and
you can not chance anything.

Cheers
Barber

PS. The same thing in Ki-109.

Tried to duplicate your problem but both of those planes and that map/mission work for me.  Sorry...

Hi, have you found any solution with Ki-67,Ki-49 please?  The strange problem of exploding planes persists  still  despite several new installations from newly downloaded  files of The Bat with new mod files too.

The only time I get that to happen is if I create an FMB mission with one of those planes and then quit the mission and change to the other plane and re-run the mission.  The second plane then explodes on the runway.  In fact, it happens with about half the Japanese planes.  I have been told that this is something that can be confirmed but not really known why it happens.  I know it started after the latest Engine Mod update in EP07.  However, this does not happen if you create individual missions, save them and then play them.  Everything works fine.  So, is it a BIG deal, I guess not really...

I would love to tackle this down, but so far none of the explanations really tells how to reproduce the issue.
If it's "some mission" in FMB: Please send the mission and tell the precise steps to reproduce the issue.
If it's a QMB mission as seen in the opening post: Please clearly state all settings, all planes, all the steps required to get exactly to this point.
Because so far, I tried everything but cannot reproduce this issue on BAT EP11 at all.

Best regards - Mike

Mike, here is my test mission and the steps:

https://www.mediafire.com/file/xhxpl59ld7o6ibc/test.mis

1.  Load my mission in FMB
2.  Play the mission.  Ki-67 looks fine on the runway
3.  Quit the mission back to FMB
4.  Change the plane in FMB to the Ki-45 Kai Ko, 1942
5.  Play the mission again.
6.  Plane explodes on runway

If after playing the mission the first time, you exit IL2 completely and then re-run, enter FMB, load the mission and then change the plane, it does NOT explode.  So, it appears that something gets loaded after the first plane that causes the explosion with the second plane???  Also, if you look at your log you will see a lot of the same Java errors repeated over and over like it is stuck in a loop.

It is not limited to these two Japanese planes.  I can reproduce it with about half of the Japanese planes (Army and Navy).  But I have not seen it happen with any other nations planes.  I also reinstalled BAT one step at a time and this starts after EP07.  Before that, I cannot get it to happen.

Well that's interesting.
Using your test mission I can reproduce the error.
I can even eliminate the code issue, but that only gets me rid of the error log entries - the plane will still explode.

You say this started with EP 07's EngineMod update?
Is that sure?

Best regards - Mike

Yes Mike.  I tried 2 more BAT installations completely from scratch to test this out and it starts right after EP07 is added.  Before that, all is fine.

This morning I did some additional testing.  I installed the EP07 but left the original "Classes-!SAS-EngineMod" folders alone and remmed (-) the new "-!SAS_Engine_Mod" folders.  No explosion!  I also activated the "#WAW_00_EngineMOD_2.7" mod and still no explosion!  So, I would guess it has something to do with the new Engine Mod update  :P

It would help us really much if some more of those who have reported this issue could give us more details as posted here:

If it's "some mission" in FMB: Please send the mission and tell the precise steps to reproduce the issue.
If it's a QMB mission as seen in the opening post: Please clearly state all settings, all planes, all the steps required to get exactly to this point.

It can't be that hard.
The time it took to do your post in this thread should be sufficient to also state the required details.
dpeter95 did so already and it's very helpful, but so far we have on very isolated scenario under which this happens only.

barber, DK_BAT and KingTiger503 see this issue too, so guys please help us chasing it by giving the required details.
Thanks.

Best regards - Mike
