Pal Vis Mod - how do I get rid of map grid indicator?

I'm playing with Pal Vis Mod enabled. on the right hand side now is a constantly updating indicator that tells me what map grid I am in. (since EP12 ? Didn't notice that with older versions)

How is this controlled, can this be turned off?
