Nope. Anything higher than 4.13.4 involves a voluntary action and threfore you should be able to get a copy of an earlier version. There is no need to update the unpatcher, at least, for now.

Just used the unpatcher for the first time. Windows 10 worked great - eventually.
Initially made the mistake of extracting the contents of the zip file into my root directory.
Then realised that i had to instead extract them into a folder within the root directory.

Thanks asheshouse. I figured it does work but not many reported much. No news, good news, I guess.

I agree it could have been better "executed" but hey, mission accomplished and I am sure it didn't last long in your drive after the roll back ;D

The utility is great as it is. More bells and whistles would not make it work much better.
Now half way through installing a fresh copy of BAT.

That sounds important.   What "folder within..." is he referring to?

Hi, my version is from GOG and when I open the Unpatcher, it said "unspecific file found' all the way until it said it successfully unrolled patches. Am I doing it right???

Update: It still 4.13.2m. Not working...

It always says it was successful: laziness of the script creator a limitation of the script :P

You did something wrong. Follow the instruction to the letter.

Bought on Steam yesterday. Can confirm the Unpatcher does not work on Steam version of 1946. Even if I install, copy the main folder to a separate hard drive unassociated with Steam, it will not take it back to 4.12.2, stays at 4.13.4 no matter what. Shame.

Any workaround for this without having to repurchase another version?
