I have already restored image links to my download threads in the ships section and WWI Tanks. Took about 20min to work through.
Open post in SAS and copy image link. Paste URL into Postimage and upload, then copy direct link.
Back to SAS post where link is still selected and paste. New link in place. Does not take much time.

Old WIP threads I may delete?
Just need to update links in current Schleswig Holstein thread. Already done most recent WIP image.

Important to keep your PB account live, if free, so as to be able to copy any URL links in the future.

Just as a heads up, meanwhile addons/extensions exist for Firefox and Chrome in order to restore embedded Photobucket images.
This works because the images themselves are still there, it's just that Photobucket doesn't allow to embed them anymore.
What these extensions do is to load the images as if they were being accessed right on the Photobucket website itself, and embed them thereafter.
Works quite stable for me.

Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/photobucket-embedded-fix/
Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/photobucket-embed-fix/naolkcpnnlofnnghnmfegnfnflicjjgj

Best regards - Mike

Brilliant find, Mike ...!

In fact Photobucket still allows to embed pics already uploaded there in the past ... provided you now pay for it, and quite a deal in fact ...  :-X
