No error for "No map in mission file now". But the mission refused to save. I think the problem is LAL hangar mod. What is the exact location to put the LAL_hangar mod into?

well...i dont have hanger mod but im getting same issues...the missions wont save
and i have updated and downloaded everything (except hanger mod)

Viking what would be awesome if you created a winter version, I have seen the canyon in winter and dude its breath taking.

Me too, the snow and ice give it the most beautiful sight I have ever seen-and probably will see....  :D

can this work in 4.12? i put verythign in and the objects and wont save but it appears in fmb. also, where is the quick ini in a 4.12 sas modact install? i looked under quicks and saw no ini file. are we supposed to make one. i enable mission combo by PAL under jgsme.

It seems that the "hangar mod" that you have a link to, here, actually doesn't lead to a download of anything, but, instead, leads to a "link farm", with suggestions for related search topics more-or-less sorta relevant to aviation sim games, and the like. A couple of links lead to topics with "Il2" in their headings, but nothing is an actual, specific, download of a particular mod. What's up with that?

Guys, this is an older version of this map.
In the meantime, Uufflakke had revamped it a.o. with new tex and waterfalls and I have modified the tex furthermore.



I will reupload THAT version tomorrow, it seems gone as Uufflakke seems to have removed all his mods. Thanks btw whoever removed it, it contained mods by me as well.   >:(  ;)

To get any map working in ModAct 5.3, please follow these instructions:

General tips
As for getting all my maps:

I followed this forum's tips closely:
Went to my DBW 1.71 install:
Copied the entire maps folder over inside the #SAS\MapMods folder.
#SAS\MAPMODS\MAPS


Then...from UP~Boomer's post:

Used his UP3 static ini file and copied the 4.12 static entries in as advised.
Backed the static.ini file up and copied the new static ini in #SAS\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects.

After this took the 4SFS UP3 object files as per Boomer's linked post into "IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\SFS_AUTO".

Finally, opened my DBW install again and copied and pasted the following files as well into the

Maybe if you can find the original and upload, I compare to my version.
I also have Uuff's version. ;)
So, mainly wondered about the thread.
 :( BTW
I am one of Uufflakke's biggest FANS and miss his mods and him here.

I will upload my version with a big sign that Uufflakke made the waterfalls and some tex.
All of the rest is from Viking and 2 textures from redko, modded.

So not really a total insult or so, would never do this to Uufflakke. Loved that artist.

What I am about to post is based on Viking4570's + Uufflakke's work.

Long disclaimer...for the map to install, you only need the readme in the download.

The original map from scratch is by viking4570.

Uufflakke modded it and added waterfalls at the western section of the Canyon and some new textures IIRC.


So, as Uufflakkes big fan and since I also modded this map a minor tad, I was disappointed to see that particular thread with Uufflakke's work down. And this minor tad I am speaking off proved to be very effective, even if not perfect. I had forwarded this map way before Uufflakke left to HistoMod as well. So what to do, IMHO here "ownership" took a direction into absurdity.


Dear Uufflakke, if you read this, and really cannot live with this map in this version reuploaded, you can reach me also at AAS via pm or HistoMod via pm etc...basically all/most IL-2 forums except UP where I forgot my login lol.. 
I included the new Hi Res trees by Uufflakke in a slightly downsized version for chaps with isues on the HiRes mod and the original version.

I advise everyone to use the high res mod and carsmaster's "Light in the IL2 by carsmaster". That one is also available in an easy version for those with trouble.
For 4.12, you need the 4.09m version of "Light in the IL2 by carsmaster", classfiles deactivated.
You can deactivate the classfiles by either deleting them or putting a minus sign -like this "-" in front of them.

If this turns out to be a mistake, any of the SAS guys can take it down again.

No harm intended. I spent at least 10-20 hours with my ridiculous small add on in this version as well. And TBH it is this addition which stands out as extra when you fly over this map at high alt at the canyon.

The waterfalls are the super cake on top as well as Uufflakke's other texture additions. He da man.
And I do not want to add my stuff on top of the base map, would be a regression par excellence..since this map came quite some roads. ;)


Uufflakke, your all your work is marvellous! I wish you came back to SAS, I miss your talent and humour. And MTO additions. Without you, I would not even know how to make Bump files. You left, that sucked.  :(
